Organisation of Costume
When taking pictures of my artists I wanted to ensure that they looked professional and actually looked like rap artists. To do this I researched different magazines and rap artists so that I would know how to dress my artists so they would look like rap / hip hop artists. My cover artist is wearing a snapback jeans and t shirt which is typical artists in this genre. My artist on my contents page is wearing jeans, a black shirt, a gold watch and dr dre headphones. This is so that he looks like a rap artists because things like gold watches and headphones are always normally associated with rap / hip hop artists.
Organisation of Location
The organisation of location for my actors was very minimal as all of my pictures that I use in my magazine have no background as I was able to remove it on photoshop, the reason I did this was because a lot of pictures in my research had no background and I thought that this looked professional. To ensure that I would be able to easily remove the background of any pictures I took I had my artists stand against a white background so it would be easier for me to highlight in photoshop and remove.
Organisation of Actors
The two actors that I have used in my magazine are both males and I have done this for a specific reason and not just because it was easier to use males than females. The reason I have used males in my magazine is due to my research, in my research of rap/ hip hop magazines the artists that I mainly noticed that were included in these magazines were males so I decided that I would also use mainly male actors so that I could make my magazine as realistic as possible. The name for my cover artist is Wyatt Rhymes and this is a created rap name which is what many rap/hip hop artists do, eg Busta Rhymes.

Final magazine name
Rhyme
I decided to call my magazine RHYME out of all the different names that I came up with from my previous list. I was originally set on calling it LYRIC as I thought this would be a good name for a rap /hip hop magazine as the lyrics are a really important aspect in most rap songs.
However I changed my mind to RHYME as I thought it would look a lot better as a magazine masthead and it still makes sense with my magazine genre as the rhyming is also very important in rap music.

Feminism
Throughout history, women have fought for equality and rights from their male counterparts, however, in the 19th and 20th century, when women fought to win women's suffrage, education rights, better working conditions and the right to vote. Women would no longer be treated as sound-class citizens without a vote and campaigned for the vote. The women's suffrage campaign is the most deeply embedded campaign of the past 250 years. As women eventually got the vote they were recognized for their importance in society.
Laura Mulvery is a British feminist film theorist and worked at the British Film Institute for many years. She states that Hollywood cinema puts the spectator in a masculine subject position, with the figure of the woman on screen as the object of desire and "the male gaze".

Ideology
Ideology is a term that describes when a person, book, belief, this is usually the dominant social class, is the driving force behind one’s decision or social/group movement
Ideology in media is the idea behind a piece of text or image. It is the ideas behind a media text, the secret (or sometimes not so secret) agenda of its producers. It is important to be able to identify the different ideological discourses that may be present in even an apparently simple photograph.
For example the ideology behind this image of the new school building could be that the school is an up to date and modern place.

Mood Board
To help to understand my chosen genre of Hip hop i have created a mood board of images related to hip hop. I have included images of different artists that would often be related to the hip hop genre, as well as this i have included instruments, clothing items, accessories and magazines that are all related and associated with my chosen genre for my magazine. I have included items such as the headphones as these are normally seen to be used by hip hop artists and associated with the hip hop sub culture itself I have purposely placed the images in the positions they are, as you can notice the images are not in a set pattern, they are all turned and not straight. The clothing that the artists are wearing are also the type of clothes that i would like my artist to wear on my magazine.

Genre of my magazine
For my magazine I have decided to go with a rap/ hiphop genre and this is for two different reasons, firstly I have chosen to go with this genre as it is one of my favourites music genres and I believe that I know more about this genre than any other one, this means that after research I will be able to create a realistic and professional looking magazine. The second reason that I decided to do this genre is that I have read rap magazines before and because of this I believe that this is the genre that I could do the best job in creating a magazine for.

Homework
Music Video - Naughty boy, La La La
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3O1_3zBUKM8
I like this music video because as well as play the music this video portrays a story like the Wizard of Oz, i like this because it keeps the viewer interested and keeps the viewer interested in the video and not just the music.
Film Trailer - The Dark Night Rises http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8evyE9TuYk
I really like this trailer for many different reasons, the first reason is the suspension that builds up throughout the video, the reason i like this suspension so much is because the piano that is playing causes the build up to feel much more intense, i believe that that suspension and that build up is what makes this trailer so professional.
Video Game - Fifa 13 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia43OgdBHaE
I like Fifa because it provides a football simulation that no other game does and provides enjoyable moments and a competitive side of gameplay that only a sports game can.
Website - Twitter
Twitter is a website that i frequently use i enjoy using it for different reasons, twitter is a social media site that allows for different people to post comments (tweets) about anything they wish, i use this frequently because it is very easy to use and it is good to use to find out news as well as other less important information about friends.
